I'm scheming on getting my DV52 back from my son. Can't believe gave it to him!

Thinking about trading him my mint '88 D15 for it...

I would let this one go, Dread. It was a great gift you gave him. Unless he is a hog fan. Or maybe he finds the arched back interesting enough to trade. My guess is, since he is your son, he will honor that trade request. It is what I would do as a son...

First post here . . . Just traded for a 1996 DV-52. Like others have said here, it's a lot of guitar and a lot of Guild! Haven't had a Guild in 6 or 7 years. My last Guild was a True American and I don't even remember why I got rid of it or what I acquired in its place! Other Guilds I strangely got rid of included a F512, JF-30, and JF-55. Again, I don't remember why I passed them along . . . maybe my time care-taking them was done. IDK . . . That said, playing the DV-52 feels like coming back to my tonal/guitar home.

Welcome to a wonderful forum GEG and you got back into Guild guitars in a first class way. And the ones you let go - ooh wee - lots of love for those Guilds as well.
Stop by often and give us the benefit of your thinking.

Thanks for the welcome - been lurking the past couple days since the DV52 came on my radar . . . lots of cool folks here! Will try and post pics when I can. Right now the day job is seriously impacting the important matter of getting on with all things guitars.

Yeah, I'm just Jonesin' for the DV52.

He knows he is going to inherit it in the end anyway.🤠
