Dulcimers

I have a friend who says his only complaint about hammered dulcimers is that they don't use big enough hammers.

Wellllllll... a guy I met in university played excellent folkie guitar (a D18 Martin back then), but he lost a couple of fingers on his left hand in a table saw accident. He took up the mandolin.

Since then, I can't look at a mandolin player without thinking.... gee, if only he had a couple more fingers he could play guitar...
