Doc Watson Guitar Championship Winner - Merlefest 2013 - Guild Orpheum 14-fret

One of the really cool things about winning this year's Doc Watson Guitar Championship at Merlefest 2013 is the first place prize of an Orpheum 14-fret dread. Now my question is this, since Michael Ballard is a lefty, perhaps the first ever Orpheum 14-fret L goes to the 2013 champ? Kewl!

P.S. Can someone post a really good video of Michael playing (alone)? The only one I could find was with him and the banjo winner playing together (and, as we know, the banjo just drowned-out the guitar goodness. )

Good to see you back!

Not so long ago I read in Guild's webpage about the great presence of the brand in the festival. And now I read the prize was an Orpheum. This is what Guild needs: presence! That's something great to hear.

He's a lefty but it looks like his guitar isn't. Things that make you go HMMMM. Albert King style?
