There's an old adage and a variation on a theme, and it goes something like this, if I might paraphrase: "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy." Doyle even looks country.

Funny how times change. Hank Garland and Billy Byrd were country and could play jazz like crazy.

Keep in mind that Chet was what you might call 'deep country' and we all know that he could play anything!
And he made a pretty good living at it, too! :wink:
