Today, I heard the sad news the the "Pillsbury Dough Boy" had died, apparently of a yeast infection. He is survived by his wife, Pleigh Dough, and son, John Dough. Pillsbury and Pleigh also are rumored to have had one in the oven. Pleigh kneaded him desperately.

The graveside was piled high with flours as long-time friend, Aunt Jemima, delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who "never knew how much he was kneaded."

Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with many turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, even as a crusty old man, he was still considered a roll model for millions.

Toward the end it was thought he'd raise once again, but he was no tart.

Doughboy is survived by his second wife, Play Dough. They have two children and one in the oven. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

What a well bread family. Although some say there's muffin to it, word has it his brother, a real loafer and heel, went a rye. Known for going against the grain, he just didn't pan out...

:wink: That must be the whole scoop, Mrs. West was telling me about it last night, but I hadn't read it. Just throwing it out there for your information. Well whack me with a spatula!

They say the poor guy was patted, bitten, licked and even eaten by everyone. May he rest in pieces.

When he'd lived long enough
He made his last puff,
A puff that by all was much praised;
Now here does he lie
And makes a dirt pie
In hopes that his crust will be raised!
