Did we just go through a worm hole?

What the heck just happened? Did we just go through a worm hole? I'm guessing I'm not the only LTGer to panic when he could no longer find his favorite forum. And still... it doesn't come up when I google letstalkguild. Now its like we need a secret handshake or something... which is cool... just so long as someone teaches me the secret handshake. How do we access this site? If I google letstalkguild it just brings up a laundry list of forums where other guys are panicking and looking for the forum... but not this actual forum. In fact, someone posted on a thread I started on another forum with this link. That was, and is, the only way I can find this place. Can anyone please clarify what's going on here? And how to get directly to this forum? Thanks.

There were numerous attempts to warn people of the change including sending people email. Sorry you were surprised and confused. As for Google, it is still reporting results for the old site and has not yet indexed this site so don't worry about what Goggle doesn't find.

I'm just glad I found it! Any extra effort getting here was worth it. It's still the best forum around!

While there is always the possibility of a technical glitch on the LTG end there were a lot more cases where the email ended up in a SPAM or Trash folder. When we're settled in we should see if email generated by the new board gets to you. Maybe your ISP overzealously added LTG to a black list during the week or so it was hacked and acting as a SPAMBot?

I can confrim that I get pm alerts via my email from the new board, just like the old one.
That might be a good test right there, after Markus verifies his settings/blacklist?

Right now I tried to trigger an email from the forum by sending a pm to myself.
On one hand this test did not work: it brought up two errors saying:
• my pm folder is full ==> I'm not allowed to send pm's
• the recipient pm folder is full ==> he is not allowed to send pm's
All in all that makes sense!
on the other hand the test worked brilliantly: I received an email! (saying that markus has just been trying to send me a private message. However, my private messages box on Lets Talk Guild has reached the specified quota. In order to receive further private messages, I must delete some messages.)

Put a long story short: I got an automated email …
I hope the test setup and description wasn't to confusing!

Markus it sounds like you missed the posts talking about the need to clean out both message folders.
Somehow even stuff we thought was long deleted was carried over.
Several folks (including myself) ran into that problem and cleaning up the sent/received folders cured it. You'e limited to 50 stored messages total.
Otherwise sounds like you're ok with spam filters etc.

Oh sorry, maybe I have not been clear:
The only purpose of that test was to check if I can receive automated mail from the forum and to make sure it doesn't go to the spam folder.
There is no problem with my PM box; I know it is full and I just haven't cleaned up there yet.
