Does anyone have any information in regard to the Madeira line ? I recall at one time, you couldn't spit without hitting ten of them. They seemed to be everywhere. I recently picked up a A25Cutaway w/electronics,( that I now have listed on eBay) that plays like a Guild, the materials used and the finish and most importantly the neck profile is dead-on which makes the Guitar feel like a Guild..even though I know it was made in Japan. Just wondering..DV52Burst

I had an all maple Madiera many moons ago, A30M I think was the model number. It was a decent guitar, although a poster that worked for Guild at the time mentioned they weren't so hot build wise.

I think my first decent steel string guitar was a Madiera ("By Guild", on the label!). Just right for me at the time.

When I was young and working a menial job, a buddy of mine was going through a rough patch, and I had a little bit of cash, so I though I'd get him a replacement guitar for his crappy one. I went to a pawn shop and looked at a Madeira jumbo and a Yamaha, 000 or 00 size maybe?

I ended going home with the Yamaha. The Madeira was one of the dogs, I guess.

Everyone who enjoys your music, owes a big 'thank you' to that Madeira guitar, Frosty, if it helped put you on the music scene. Lots of people just love to spend a bit of time watching you play. Lots! :D Steffan

Well my Catalog doesn't have any mention about a "CE" but here's what I've got about the A-25.

Hope this sheds some light on things for you!
