My left ear could be hyper-sensitive to high frequencies one day & muffled the next, and I could be less or more "dizzy" from hour to hour. Then it suddenly lessened in effect and not long after went away completely. No recurrence since. Weird…
Appreciate that feedback, it does kinda jive with my experience now, and the heightened hearing sensitivity is one thing I haven't seen associated with Meniere's, it's all about loss (sigh of relief).
In fact when I was composing my first post about it, I said
"The heightened hearing sensitivity would be pretty cool if I didn't have to put up with the other stuff" but I took it out as it was part of another paragraph and I wanted to pare it down.
I'm thinking when my system kicked into high gear to fight off the rhinovirus it knocked off whatever was in the middle ear too, although I'm still getting some slight tinnitus, just not as often or as loud.
No vertigo for 4 months and THAT was BAD.
