I suppose this is the wrong part of the forum, but Dave G. pretty much is Mr. X-500, or 550.

I had the opportunity to see Dave play today and talk with him a bit and asked him what was his current relation with the new Guild. His reply was that there has been zero contact and he has zero relationship. I find that mind boggling.

I knew of and was aware of Guild, but it was seeing Dave play many years ago that prompted me to buy one. I bet there are more than a few like me on the forum.

I think we all know that Dave has taken Guild guitars all around the world, and has played with and is respected and admired by many heavy weight A list musicians.

Why wouldn't current Guild management be in contact with Dave?

I would imagine someone from Guild monitors this forum, and hope they do get in touch with him to put something together and make it happen.

I was at the winter NAMM this year and Guild was there, so I was talking at the guy at the booth and asked him if he knew who Dave Gonzalez or the paladins were, The two guys at the booth didn't have a clue, so I read them the riot act ,pretty much telling them that if it wasn't for Dave I would have never known about Guild guitars,, and legions of fans know about Guild through the paladins, And by the way I own Dave's 1957 main Guild x550
