I know that Ovation made custom order instruments, even on single basis or for forum communities...personally I'd love a sunburst F-47MCE with the blink of a D-55 or a 412....

PLEASE tell them that I am patiently awaiting the chance to order my 612 whenever they're ready!

Mmm...you aren't the only one...

BTW, my Ovation Custom Legend has a serious problem of soundboard warping, I mailed the guys at the motherboard and it seems that they can retopped it under warranty, I also asked if they can make some custom modifications and it seems that they're available, maybe after the jb is done I may politely ask my contact if they can also make custom Guilds...

I would like an F612 but on a much simpler basis I would love an F50R with a 1 3/4" nut width.

maybe if we can some how get the phone number or email address for the factory in connecticut we could pressure them into starting building customs , instead of just talking to some rep on the phone from fender . just a thought.

Please ask them to build a Guild Baritone acoustic guitar. Something with 26.5 or 27" scale. Like a 612 with 6 strings.

I do not recall the specific question as to custom builds coming up during the Q & A, though the question of other models and electrics was discussed briefly. There were a lot of "not now but we are thinking seriously about it..." type answers on this one. From my personal perspective, they really have their hands full doing what they are doing, and each guitar they put out now is viturally a custom build, there is THAT much hand work on each one...some parts may be CNC'd, but the whole guitar assembly is a person doing it by hand, one at a time.

Unfortunately my wireless listening device the factory supplied gave up the ghost right as we were going into the paint shop, so I didn't get any of the info during the tour on finishes.

Also never addressed directly during our tour, but I understood somehow/somewhere that the Hamer facility is essentially a custom shop. While we did see some Ovation pieces in process during the tour of the parts fabrication facility (mandolin necks come to mind), if I am correct most of that production has been moved overseas.
