I've owned 6 Guilds in my life. It's probably my favorite. I have a 2000 F 47 mahogany not my favorite wood but when I saw it was made on my birthday I had to have it and I love it. I just bought another F47 on ebay with CU1000J23 I can't find information on it. I'm not very patient. I paid for it Fri snd seller looks like h3 wants to wait till tues to send it. I'm just dying to know about it if anyone can help. This one is Maple probably my favorite guitar wood . So I'll have a mahogany F47 and Maple F47 I'm quite sure Maple will be brighter. Heck I think these were the same price as new Gibson J200 back when new.

Welcome to LTG! I'm sure someone will be along that knows much about F-47s. Be sure to post a photo or two after it arrives. We love pix and will be interested to read your New Guitar Day report! :)

Welcome to LTG!
Your F-47MCE with S/N CU1000123 is from year 2002. (I assume the "J" is a "1", even if it would be a 2 it would be still 2002)

Major congrats on your newest acquisition and welcome to LTG!
From the 2002 Fender Frontline catalog....
Wow, solid maple. Same year as my JF30-12 with its arched braceless maple laminate back -- a decidedly killer guitar!
