Agreed - Venetian looks so right on an arch-top!

Somehow - on the dreads at least - there was a veer from Venetian to Blob-ian.

I'm sure this is sacrilegious, but my favorite cutaway on an acoustic is this florentine on a Taylor 614

All my experience with Taylor cutaways vs. full box were disappointing. Without exception. And, I tried many. Acoustically, I'm talking about.

Guilds, no... I seem to recall not liking the F-212XL cutaway from NH as much as the regular model. But, this little gallery you guys put together of other Guild cuts are quite nice.

Since everyone is throwing out some photos of their cutaways I'll join in. Here is the Florentine on my Nashville JF65CE that used to be long to Richard and Rich here on the forum. I love it!

And here is the Venetian cutaway on my Carlo Greco Custom Super Jumbo.

Even though they are both different I think they flow with the guitars in there own way. I dig them!

Nice George!!!!! Those were both great guitars. I miss them but am really happy they ended up with you. That JF 65CE is one of the prettiest Guilds I've ever seen.

Love these pics you guys are showing. Last year I bought a D50 CE STD, only because I never had a cutaway, which was perfectly reasonable. :tickled_pink:

Can't believe that sucker's actually got a Gibson TRC.
I guess putting an upside down genuine Guild TRC on there wasn't good enough.
From Gryphon no less!
Oh the humanity!
PS FWIW I believe construction of the Florentine cutaways is more labor intensive, and I actually prefer the Venetians as seen on the DCE series.
