Not many of these made (20?). This is the first time I can recall seeing one for sale on Reverb.

I picked up one in NM condition years ago, and it's great! I know at least one other LTGer has one.

Any others out there?!

For the sake of whatever, I played one of these like 20 years ago and I still remember how great it sounded. It's my top handful of guitars I should've bought, maybe only second to a Santa Cruz OM I played and longed for in the late 90s.

That's a fair enough price too.

Lots of dings and cracks, but agreed on the rarity and price...

My only significant concern is the finish cracks along the neck heel joint. This guitar might be entering neck reset territory although I don't see any sign of that (yet) on the soundboard. Keep that in mind if you buy.

Looked at that (blown way up). I think it's just finish shrinking apart across that seam, primarily because if you look at the heel cap pic, it looks nice and tight and doesn't shaw any sign of creep like a light band the bottom.

I have a similar issue on my D25, first noticed a couple of years back, but neck's stable. ;)

I know Rambozo96 was looking for one of these so had passed the lead on to him. I hope he sees it. Like Glenn said, these don’t come up often.

Price just dropped to $1000 shipped! Someone needs to grab this rare version. Worth putting a little money into if ever needed.

Down to $875 with free shipping. Pics show a healthy saddle height.

I think I read there were only about 12 plus or minus of these cedar tops made. I only found online references to maybe 3-4.

And I'll say again. I only remember a small few acoustics I've played in the store (and not bought). The top two. a Santa Cruz OM I played 25+ years ago, and a DV6 cedar I played closed to 20 years ago. It was pretty magical.

Im late to reply, but to future readers, I have had 7-8ish of the DV6s come through my shop, and its the hidden jewel of Westerly in my opinion. Crazy that is basically a D40, high appointments, and still under 1,000 bucks. Lighter than a D40. I had two of the Ceder Dv6s, and they were awesome. Warm, gentle sound, like when you strum it, the sound quickly bakes in an oven, and out the soundhole, as one packaged sound. Not as punchy as a D40, type wood specs. Still good bass and power, as i recall. Grab one up, if you see it!!

So, I just bought this guitar. Paid $800 because the seller took my first offer. I read your comments above and thought I could go for it. It's an impulsive thing to do, but I sort of got a tax refund. Why not? I'll share some info when I get the guitar. The seller already sent a message that it will be packaged tight and sent in the morning.
