Looks like the jaXed fiasco hasn't dulled your skills Tom!

That's the same guitar that was on eBay last year that brad L and I were watching but ended up passing on. It sold for ~$1900 IIRC, and the eBay seller lives not too far from me. The new seller's just trying to turn a buck I guess, but it has been offered for a while with no takers at that price.

That guitar's a nice one, but not as nice as the other two Mark VIIs that the eBay seller owned. He's pretty active over at UMGF by the nick "newyorkhorseman". There's a few of guys on the classical board at UMGF that really know their stuff. Lots of Guild love there, too. They own some seriously high dollar and vintage classicals, and the consensus amongst them seems to be that there's one particular Mark VII that's the best of the bunch. That's pretty heady stuff!

Hans visits occasionally, too.

Sandy, I just happened to remember (from Jax) that the guitar was on CL in MN. I occasionally go onto UMGF, for some reason I don't get the warm and fuzzy feeling over there as I do on the LTG board. Not even close. Like you said, I am sure there are some pretty knowledgeable guys over there. But there is another layer of guys that love Kent Hill New World Guitars. As you know, it is really Kent Hill Made in China Guitars. I always get myself drawn into discussions when someone will ask "what is a good guitar to buy", then someone recommends NW Guitars. Then I mention something about Chinese quality. These guys really take offense and then the fun starts.

Anyways LTG is my home

Oh, I don't really go over to UMGF that often either Tom, but I like the classical section, and Guild Marks seem to be discussed frequently on that board. Between Mike Halloran, Rudy (newyorkhorseman), and D LaPlante, there a tremendous amount of classical guitar knowledge just between the three of them. I agree with you about not getting the "warm and fuzzy feeling" like we do over here though. You probably know how I feel about Chinese guitars too, though I do have the Yamaha beater classical in the house now.

LTG is my home too, and what's more, Guild makes the best classical guitars, too! 8)
