I’d never heard of this player before - can’t see any reference to him on the site, and thought he might be of interest here as a former Guild user.
He started out playing pedal steel before moving over to electric guitar - he had an early connection with Willie Nelson and played steel on Nelson’s first single in 1957.
I came across a solo LP of his from the late ‘60s, prominently featuring on the cover what I think is an X-500:
On Spotify is another album incorporating the Guild into the artwork, ‘Buddy Fite and Friend’ - I really like the strange design work on this one!
‘We’ve Only Just Begun’ is a stand out tune for me.
