I have 2 sets of his died bone pins and several saddles... no problems with any of them. I have had pin hole difficulties though...
I have a DS240 I changed strings on earlier this past week and a couple of pins were harder to remove than the others. When I got them out, I looked close at them and could see shiny spots, which told me where the hole problems were. I used a jewelers rat tail file to clean the holes, now all is well.

Never sanded a pin or touched a hole. They fit like they were made for the D1A.

Looking fine West. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!
Thank you Shelby, and yes sir, I do. I just never felt like the ebony pins matched the finish to tell you the truth. I just wanted a bit different look. Though I didn't expect anything sonically, I'm still listening to try and determine for myself if these pins make any difference, but again, I had no expectations there.
