I was curious as to whether or not anyone had ever bought a saddle, nut or pins from Bob Colosi? Gosh, I've seen his stuff online for many years, but have never bought anything from him. I've really never had a need to. But for beauty alone, I've just ordered this set. I have no illusions of bridge pins effecting the tone or resonance of the guitar, though not implying they couldn't. I was just wondering if any of you have had direct dealings with him, what you bought, and why?

I bought some really nice pins to replace the awful plastic pins on my F112 a few years ago. Bob was very good in helping me to determine the correct size. He is a great resource.

This is a good reminder that I need to look at my guitars and see if any are candidates for an upgrade.

It's always looked like he makes some really nice, quality parts and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I'll be interested to see what kind of fit I get, though I don't mind doing a little sanding. But I'll bet his pin sizing is pretty accurate. Did your pins fit well Mike? I thought that set might look good on a light, amber colored sunburst.

I bought a bone compensated saddle and bone bridge pins for my D-6 from him. Sent him the old saddle and he fabricated a new one to match. Quick turnaround and a reasonable price.

The sizing for the F112 was a little tricky because the holes and pins were not consistent. I measured all the pins, Bob picked a good size and I cleaned up a couple of the holes with a hand router to they were more consistent.

If you search for Colosi using the LTG search about half of the first page of results were people who had bought from him or had his products installed. if you don't get useful answers you might try that search.

I've bought 3 saddles from Bob over the years. Can't say enough about the quality of his work. He turns his work around in a couple of days. I actually have met Bob, as we live close to him in the winter, in GA.

So far he seems top notch Silver. Even emailing me on a Sunday. If you went to him 3 times, he must be good.

I must have bought at least a half dozen saddles and a couple sets of pins from Bob over the years. All of my transactions have been positive experiences, with timely shipping and a top-notch product.

Great to hear Dave. Thanks. Y'all need to show them off here sometime. :) I would like to see some of the stuff he's done for LTG members.

I bought a set of the overstock bridge pins from Bob and had a luthier install them in my JF-30. He had to ream the holes a little to get them to fit. Big improvement over the plastic pins.

In fact, Mr. Colosi and I discussed that very thing yesterday. For my application, he agreed that to sand the pins would be the best option, which is what I'll do. But hey, whatever works. Your pins look fabulous Javelina.

Definitely sand the pins, Jim. I suspect you'll love 'em.

Just like the saddles, a little itty bit at a time.
