So does this have a solid or chambered body?
In the meantime I think I have the answer.
As the M-95 is just another variant of the Custom Shop M-70 and M-90 I read again the specs of them.
The 2000 catalog shows:
"Chambered solid mahogany (bound top for M-70, unbound top for M-90) body, mahogany top."
"Mahogany neck, ... rosewood fretboard"
"the M-70 and M90 are inspired variations on the original Guild Bluesbird shape, but are combined with distinct pickup packages" (M-70 DeArmond model 2000, M-90 SD-P90)

So that should answer the question. So they all had always chambered solid mahogany bodies with glued on mahogany tops and not maple tops like the same area new Bluesbirds.

I am curious about buying from the UK and shipping to the USA. Would a U.S buyer have to pay the 20% VAT tax that is included in the price?
Not every shop wants to ship outside UK or EU but many do. Here is something I read from a UK shops delivery page:
"We have to advertise all our prices in £GBP, and we have to show the price including VAT (20% sales tax). If you live inside the European Union (EU), this is the price you will pay. However, if we ship your order to a country outside of the European Union you don’t have to pay VAT, which means the price of the order will come down by 20%. For example: an order that costs £369 to an EU customer, will cost a customer outside the EU £307.50. Sales tax is deducted automatically when you update your delivery country in the checkout.
Please note that if you live outside the EU you will probably have to pay a local 'import tax' to the courier when your items are delivered. Please ensure that you find out what your local import taxes are going to be before you order.
We use a freight service from UPS which is insured against loss or damage."

Vice versa when I buy in the US I don't pay the local sales tax but have to pay the 19% German VAT and about 2.5% musical instruments import tax on the total price of the item including on the price of the shipment!
A $1000 guitar plus $150 shipment is $1150 + 21.5% = $1400.
When the Euro to Dollar was 1.40 (like last year) such $1400 was Euro 1000, so basically when I bought a $1000 item it was €1000 for me. Today with a 1.11 exchange rate a $1000 item costs me already €1265 ($1400/1.11)...

Any update 5pence? Did you buy her? Looks like she's either sold or on hold?

Why would the seller pull the guitar?
The seller was a big (and known) store, so there would be always a slight possibility somebody just walked in and bought her, but I am not sure, hence I asked 5pence if he called them and what they really told him. Let's see.
Maybe this and such future discussion should be in the Member's Cove to avoid somebody outside LTG can google it.

I called the shop to make sure it was still available as I was intending to go and take a look. I was told the owner had collected the guitar that morning. Maybe they had accepted an offer from someone or decided they didn't want to sell it after all. We'll probably never know...

Sorry to hear that 5pence, on the other hand Maybe the owner was in a position where they didn't want to sell it but felt like they had to. That situation could have changed to the point where they could keep the guitar. If that was the case then Congrats to the owner on being able to keep it. That would have been an Amazing guitar to own for sure but who's to say it won't pop up again in the future.
