Hello all! I was recently able to purchase a Corona-built 2003 F50R from CME, she arrived safe & sound and has acclimated successfully! Absolutely gorgeous instrument, it’s hard to believe the Corona Guilds had a bad reputation if they’re built anywhere near as well as this one. As per usual with CME the setup leaves nothing to be desired, tons of room on the saddle, frets look nice, and of course she sounds fantastic. The build is noticeably heavier than my ‘05 Tacoma F50R, similar in weight to my ‘75 F50R & ‘00 F50R AA. She’s a total tank in the best way! I’ve noticed light finish checking along the body binding and a couple small dings, otherwise fantastic shape for a 20 year old guitar. She was missing the truss rod cover, I was able to find this lovely inlaid ebony one on eBay, really adds a nice visual touch and matches the neck inlays. I also replaced the plastic bridge pins with horn.
Here’s a few photos of my Guild family with the new addition.
