No, the worst part was having to put them all away again. It was either that, or get one of those velvet rope setups and start charging admission. :D

Believe it or not, there are only 6 living in the closet...the rest are out hanging in my office.

Mine all live in cases in the closet. There's room for the '77, but after that things are going to start getting a little crowded. I might have to think about thinning out my clothes collection to make room.

Clothes are overrated when you have a guitar. Just get one of these and you're good to go. It says it all...

Hammer,

I showed your pic to my wife because I wanted to justify that I wasn't quite as affected as you are by GAS. She was very impressed. I am jealous as heck........

Tface...... I like that guitar...If it is still around in a couple of months......

It may or may not be around, by my hand (and wallet). I am going back forth in my head between TF's hair metal goodness and a 2010 61 reish SG. Decisions, decisions.

A '61 re-ish is the humbucker SG to have. Like I've said many times, that's what I went shopping for until S-100's broke in on my radar (courtesy of Kylesa). I was looking for an SG from the '90's. Don't know about the 2000's. But the way I see it, you already have some Gibbies. TF's git is 24 frets of Guild goodness with screamin' hot XR-7's. I say go for the hair metal. \m/'-_-'\m/

See, that's the one side of my brain. Plus I already have my 94 Standard with the Iommi pups and the Bigsby. Then the other side goes, "But I really wanna 61 reish!". Back when I bought the '94 new, I was actually torn between it and a 61 reish...then I read all these horror stories about the neck joint on them and went with the Standard, but I still love the smaller guard and the 60s neck. And the reish is local. The only thing really keeping me from pouncing on it is it's a 2010 and I haven't a clue as to whether or not they (Gibbo) left its guts alone or if it got the circuit board treatment (yuck).

haha...... wow! I bow to the Gas Lords.... you have a cool kids club (3 S-100's or more)... you guys need to start the Gas Lords... I think Grot would be the supreme commander or something crazy like that.

Hammer, I doubt that one for sale locally is the deal-of-the-century too-good-to-pass-up. SG's abound. Vintage Guilds on the other hand, and from an upright citizen of LTG... \m/'-_-'\m/

What would be the minimum requirement for inclusion in the GAS Lords? Ten guitars or more? Fifteen or more? Grot, of course, would be the leader of the GAS Lords.

Oh, and since we're slightly off-topic, here's what we were talking about again?

Think "Animal Magnetism" by the Scorpions, from the album by the same name.

It's not a bad deal, by a long shot, but it's no 77 hard tail Strat for $80 by any stretch of the imagination. $1300.
