Being a bit of a pedantic twit, I sometimes get slightly annoyed at trends in waitstaff lingo in restaurants and bars, trends that seem to violate proper rules of diction and usage.

WS: And what would you like?
Me: A pint of the IPA, please.
WS: Awesome!
WS: How are the first few bites of that hamburger tasting?
Me: Very nice, thank you.
WS: Awesome!

Well here is a well placed kick in my pedantic ass. Skip to 5:23.

Me: "Thank you."

Not sure when "no problem" replaced "you're welcome", but it's pervasive.

It certainly has. I too struggle with the phrase but I’m trying not to. If I live long enough I expect I’ll eventually hear a Gen Z parent telling their child “say ‘no problem’ to the nice man.”

I'm thinking more this...

"Do you take this person as your wife?"
"No problem."
