Awesome Acoustic Guitar Invention - Anyone use this ?

So Taylor has a guitar cable with a volume control. I am not sure if its simply a potentiometer in there ? or what... But its a great invention... Anyone use this ? Any opinions would surely be appreciated.

So is this an alternative to an outboard pre-amp if the built in active PU has no volume control and the system is prone to feedback?

Taylor came up with this to go with the removable p'up that goes with their new Mini-Jumbo travel guitar. Looked at that cable and thought it a good match for the early GAD electro-acoustics that came with no controls...

This would be great idea for me because I wired a soundhole pickup to a jack-StapButton... I did a better search on this one and I have heard that the ramping on this cord is not that good... I think it may be at least worth a try by buying from someone that does full refunds...

I bought one of them and personally think it is great.....I use it on my GAD RE30 as well as my GAD G212 and it works fine.
