Much better performance & sound on the first clip IMO. Sounded a bit flat in the 2nd as I don't think they could turn their amps up too loud in the TV studio.

Got to say The Knack were snazzy dressers too - dig the shine on the guitarists shoes.

The 1st video (Carnegie Hall) is fun to watch. We sure mocked them at the time (they weren't Van Halen), but 30 years later and it's still a great song.
And the lead work is a nice surprise, as is his tone; coil split Les Paul? The 70s!

I know we've talked about this before but I can't find it. The bass in Jahn's clip is a solid-body M-85 II with Guild humbuckers with the covers removed OR replacement PUs. Solid body because there is a shot where the binding is clearly only on the top.

Edit: Oh yes, I can. It's just that no one else was listening.
