went over to my dad's today for our oft-observed Sunday afternoon festivities.

this week: two very nice Guilds, and two very nice bottles of Scotch.

i decided that we should do a side-by-side shot. (for the scotch *and* the guitars.) ;)

Looks like the acorn didn't fall very far from the tree there.
Nice looking guitars.
Bet they make wonderful music together.

Thanks for posting the pictures! I can tell from the smiles on your faces that you have been playing some of the nicest guitars on the planet...and the scotch would be helping I am sure :wink:

the funny part is, i was wearing my socks, but my stepmother had me take them off so i'd be barefoot in the photos, just like dad... :D

well, the scary part is, we took the photos *before* we lit into the scotch. :shock:
i just didn't want you guys to see me *after* the drams began... :lol:

I'm impressed that you've spent so much on Guitars that you cant afford shoes. Nice to see you've got the priorities right !!

What a wonderful legacy! Wish my dad was still here to enjoy it, he didn't play but he enjoyed my playing :D

My feelings exactly. My Dad could listen to the blues all day and always asked for more. He loved spirituals/gospels, even though he wasn't what you'd call religious....he just liked the music.
He was always an appreciative audience, and never critical.

I'd like to play a few tunes for him right now, but.... :(
