I got the message right away, probably because my Bronco had 2 such near misses from pecan limbs. Twice I moved it because of wind and when I walked back to the house a pecan limb was lying where it had been. Once wind blew our TV antenna down. The bottom bracket held, which was the only thing that kept the antenna from falling on the Bronco. I've been aware of near misses for a long time, and not just the Bronco ones. I must have a tag team of guardian angels.Nothing unusual with the weather last night that I knew of. Just a reminder of how close we often come to a random event that could be life changing. In this case a branch broke off a dead tree and fell just missing tbe boat. If the random break was the taller tree branch the boat would have been hit.
Precarious random acts that occur every day and the luck or lack there of that can change your life.
When I saw how close the tree branch fell to the boat it seemed like a metaphor for the close calls we encountered every day whether we know of them or not.
