You have a Nagra! I so want one.

Hello

I can sell it to you - it is full-track mono version w two speeds - I have the microphone input connector to go with it.
With connector inserted the unit is recording.
Without connector is playback.
There is only on operation switch + crank for rewinding tape.

Runs with two AA-batteries.
Output via 1/8 inch jack.

1200€ + shipping

If you wish - pm me and we can talk via Skype and/or I can send you pictures of my unit.

Well, I may have solved a portion of my original dilemma. I have identified about 22 guitars I plan to list and let go over the next several months. Then, I'll be able to step back a bit and see what else I should consider selling. We shall see.

Thanks for all your input though. There were some pretty good suggestions there.

Richard, that's really for the best (IMO). I applaud folks who really do come to terms with their mortality. That said, I suppose you'll probably still have a sizable collection left after you downsize and will still want to think through some of the details... But, fewer is better as far as all that's concerned (for your heirs, that is).

In any case, take your time and try to enjoy the process of passing on stewardship of these wonderful instruments from yourself to other folks. That's really all we are.

Hello

Aside of guitars - there is all kind of "junk" downstairs.
I've been thinking about that a lot - how on earth could my wife - who knows what I do for living - but has made her career as psychotherapist - tell the difference of Nagra SN or some other small piece of electronics ?

I do have to mark at least some of the gems lurking on my shelves.

For those not SO familiar with Nagra tape recorders - this one is about size of postcard - more info here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagra

Ooooooo that's cool :)
