If anyone owns a 90s era SF4, could you tell me the case measurements ?

I need the depth where the body sits as well as the depth of the shelf that supports the neck. I really think the case I have has the neck too high. Of course the upper and lower bout specs too. I don't want to order the wrong case.

I have a very late Westerly SF4 case I could measure for you, if you think it would help. Let me know.

As long as the guitar is the same specs, that would be helpful.

I would imagine the guitars would be the same size, but it's just my guess.

Anyway, the case is 3 1/4 " deep in the area where the body goes. There's a bit of a "ramp" at the neck joint area that lifts the guitar to the neck support, where the depth is 1 3/4 ".

Lower bout size is 16 1/4' and upper is 12 1/8".

I hope this is useful.

This case is close , at 3-1/2" deep at the far end, but is still about 3" at the end by the neck support. No real ramp, but I can see where the bottom has a rise. Also, where your support ridge is much higher than the self behind it, mine is flush.

The lower bout on mine is just shy of being 16" and the upper about 12". The lower bout is too tight.

If you press on the felt, does it sound like Styrofoam ? Mine does sound like crunchy foam.

The "ramp" on mine really does little or nothing to support the guitar, but it's there. And the "shelf" behind the neck support on mine is also high, so there might not be a lot of difference, there. Here's a picture the guitar in the case.

With the case closed, nothing is moving in there. And there's nothing crunchy!

I'll have to compare some side shots, like your last one. I just don't want the neck support being a fulcrum and the body trying to lift, when the headstock gets pushed down by the case lid.
