well i call dibs on whatever s-100 surfaces on LTG in the year 2015. You guy oughta spread the S-100 love with the rest of us.

But, but, but...they are so...awesomesauce! Maybe by 2015 Fender will let them start rereissuing them again. Keep hope alive!

I couldn't let the awesomesauce line go without a kudo. Nice one, Hammeranian. :D

So if FMIC does decide to reissue the S-100, do we want them to Reissue II the first vintage ones (like the 1st reissues) or reissue the reissues (with the SDs and the wider nut width)?

Hmm. Having played neither I'm not sure if I'm as qualified to comment as others, but how about this:

Re-issue the Vintage/First re-issue with the following changes:

Wider frets
Wax-potted HB-1s (just because I heard mention that the HB-1s could be microphonic in some situations)
Tail-stop moved closer, like later 70s, or maybe in a compromise position.
Tail-stop redesigned so cosmetic appearance remains the same, but high strings exit higher than then the bass strings. This should make the string angle behind the bridge more uniform.
Compensated nut.
Choice of roller/non-roller bridge.
Chesterfield logo with the lines. (I just think it looks sexier)
3 position switch for phase/coil tap.
Pick-ups wired for fully independent volume control (assuming that like most other guitars, they are not already wired that way)
Colour options: White, black, cherry, dark green, natural, natural burst.
Pickguard: clear
Carved option: Acorns and leaves, skulls and swords.
Inlays: Mother of pearl with abalone shell triangle.

And for the over-the-top Rolls-Royce version, a customised Axcent Electronics self-tuning bridge.

dreams...

I knew somebody had dibs on my '73 DeLuxes, I just didn't remember who...

Meant that as a PM, but it's out there for all to see now...
