OK, refresh my memory. Was the G-37 larger than a Dred with a longer scale length? Seems like that is what I read some time ago.

Nice looking guitar. Only played on G-37 in my life, 1980 I think, excellent sounding instrument. I love that arched, pressed back. Guild did/does a nice job with maple - not easy, I think.

Nope, standard dread size and scale. I believe it was the first all maple with an arched back. (Didn't take the time to look it up but I think I'm right!)

Super-size dread is the G-41.

First arched-back maple dread by Guild (it did have spruce top),followed by the D-30 and the G-45/Hank Williams Jr models. But it was preceded by the F-30, F-40, and F-50, which all had arched maple backs.

Don't forget about the DCE-3. Another sweet maple archback (with a cutaway). :wink:
