Who is singing the harmony on the chorus?
Here's a guess: Either "Mama" Cass Elliot, or perhaps Taffy Danoff (Nivert), one of the songs co-authors.

So many talented musicians across so many styles were showcased on Midnight Special. It was always a treat to watch.
Another observation on the show in general: all those acoustic instruments are mic'd. And I think they all sound great!

Hahaha....I love the Willie Nelson quote about Linda Ronstadt! I think it is probably true. I'm not ashamed to say that her voice can move me to tears.
