re: "you can grab the address for the picture, and enclose it in tags, using the "Insert Image" button on LTG's reply toolbar."

What's a reply toolbar?

Darryl,
I know it takes a while to get used to the new forum. Have a look here:

Below any message you see a Quick reply field, and that is where you can just reply, and it has a toolbar with symbols, the 3rd from the right side is the Image button.

Now look in that window towards the right side:

You can either "Reply" to any message, or you can "Reply With Quote".
Any in the reply windows below you can either just "Post Quick reply", or if you want to preview and edit even more you click on "Go Advanced".
Just play a bit with it.
In "Settings" on the top right side and "General Settings" of the forum you can also adjust your editor to be in 3 different versions, I set my one to be ""Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing. There are many more settings you can adjust.

Send a PM and I help you if you have more questions.

Here's what he wrote me:

"I purchased it in the fall of 1961 directly from the Guild guitar salesman who said it was the first one made and asked if I would promote it to my musician friends so Guild could make a decision on whether they wanted to produce more units. So, unless my memory is incorrect or the sales guy was making it up, this is the first one. I made two changes to the Guitar for playability purposes. First, I changed the bridge. The aluminum one could not be adjusted for proper intonation and secondly, I replaced the original tuners with Grovers for much improved tuning. Other than that what you see is original."

I wonder what he meant by "first one made"? Clearly not the first Aristocrat. First cherry one, perhaps?

Dave...I asked him the same question when he sent that bit and his reply was that his guitar was the first one in cherry with those Dearmond pickups. Certainly not the first Aristocrat as they had been made for years by 1961...he meant in this quasi-Starfire vibe.

Ok, so I have not stopped thinking about this guitar since I first saw it posted. Feel free to let me know if you ever think it needs to return to Boston. ;) Wow!
