That would be interesting since we live in the woods and don’t really have neighbors. Also this is NJ. People don’t talk to their neighbors here. :)
Uh oh.
May very well have been an example of the rarely seen Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind: Aliens land and shovel your snow.
Whoa!

Last couple days, below freezing here in southern AZ, and that is a dry cold which is colder than a wet cold, believe me. 28 in Tucson is way different from 28 in Massachusetts. I equate 28 in tucson to 20 in northern climes.

That being said, only the mountains and foothills got snow, which is pretty. Here is a pic from a year ago...The look doesn't really change LOL.

Westerly Wood,
This appears to be one of those rare places on the planet where the horizon is crooked.

Still... forecast has been for lots of snow, but we've only got a couple inches so far (supposedly 3-7 inches tomorrow). Temps consistently around 32 for a high, but change is coming on that score -- Friday is forecast for a high of -3 and a low that night of -16.

New England update...about this time last night it was snowing, not heavy but not really light either...about 8:00 PM, knowing it was supposed to change to rain, I went out to put the rain gauge back up and it was sleeting ice pellets. By time we went to bed ('geezers, you understand) about 10:00 PM it was lightly raining. At about 2:00 PM, raining heavy...cow pissing on flat rock heavy!...but none of the 50 mph winds they said. 7:30 AM, rain stopped, clouds parting to blue skies, 2 1/4" in the rain gauge , still no wind. I mean NO wind. About 8:30 AM wind starts up in dribs and drabs, but never the "wires down due to snow covering" kinda stuff. Just lucky I guess. Biggest problem is a#* across the street backed his Ford cube-van out of parking lot into low snow windrow in front of our house, covering sidewalk I had shoveled, so wife and I had to walk into the street and through puddles to get to car, on way to funeral...and said puddles were just deep enough, arrrrgh!

Cougar,
Weather forecasts are like the visions shown by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. They are the things that might be, rather than the things that will be.
I've always treated them as suggestions for preparedness, and nothing more.
First we'll see. And then we'll know.

It was in the 80's/90's when most people knew who would win the SB by week 5. The playoffs have been pretty damn great in the last few years.
I didn't care then, and don't care now.
The best thing about Super Bowl Sunday is that I have a hockey game to play in that takes place at the same time as the football game.

They shovel something there in Vegas, but I don't think it's sunshine.

For someone who doesn't care, you sure waste a lot of time expressing it. When I don't care about something, I just keep scrolling the page.

Yeah, I've grown to appreciate watching some of these guys' acrobatics while running the ball. Don't recall 'em doing it that much back in the '80's.

That pic is kind of misleading because it looks like an entire lake outside. I mean, it's still bad, but this is the view from outside:

Also, if you've ever seen this pic from rural NJ (it's a famous building), it's the from the doors on the bottom left of the building.

That's awful, GAD. Hope the owners can get it cleaned up soon.

You would think there would be a drain in the stair well to prevent this from happening. Then again, if the water level was this high at the end of the drainpipe the drain wouldn't drain would it?
