Brenley MacEachern, of Madison Violet said that she walked into a music shop (in Toronto? - don't remember now) and saw the Harmony tenor hanging up on the wall.
She asked about it, not having seen a tenor before. Its price was considerably more than she could afford.
As she was about to leave, there was conversation that went something like this.

Clerk: How much money do you have on you now?
Brenley: I have $XX.00. (Something very shy of the asking price for the tenor.)
Clerk: Good enough.
