Our forum member DougH has a pristine Guild catalog from 1968 he would like to share with us, of course I am happy to assist. many super cool pics- complete time warp! stay tuned, 16 pictures to follow.
Which is what Sam Andrew plays in very early Big Brother footage seen here before from that '67 PBS TV show.also, the catalog is from 1968 and that headstock did change to 6-on-a-side in 1966...
yeah those free associations to Big Brother prol'ly set me off.also, re: the flashback...awesome!
Thanks Eric. That looks just like the one I got outbid on eBay a couple of months back (by a buck). Don't know when I'll ever see another one of them...
this is not that same catalog. Doug H has had this all these years! Some of u may recall Doug is a newer member that has that creamy 50s F-50 from a few weeks ago as well.
Love to have one of them to go along with my '68. The mid-'70s one that was listed by the same seller on eBay and that I did win is pretty close to my '73. Wish I had gotten both of them, but the '68 catalog went for more than twice as much, and I wasn't expecting that.
Thanks. Very interesting.
Anyone with knowledge want to comment on the basses with "Guild Anti-Hum Pick-Ups" and or what it took to "adapt" them to the Starfire II? In a world with two coil pickups explicitly designed to reduce hum, I've never heard the Bisonic described as a humbucker. On the other hand I have heard stories of Bisonics with two magnets, so perhaps an anti-hum Bisonic had two magnets and just didn't do an especially good job of bucking hum?
Sandy,
If you are real quick!
