Yeah - I have some Nightbirds that came in brown cases and I love them. I believe my '94 X170 is also in a brown case.

Interesting. I've not run into a "cheap" Guild case yet, but these dark brown cases really add an extra touch of "classy" to a nice guitar!

Well?!? Can we see a pic of one of these chocolate cases?

'87 X-170 case (top) in the usual black covering vs '95 X-160 brown case (bottom). (Complemented with late-morning, mid-winter lighting and a quick cell-phone snap...)

oh, THAT chocolate brown. I knew they had rectangular electric cases with that covering, hadn’t seen a molded case with it.

Brown cases tend to weigh more, feel solid.
