Any member have any information on Binboner. Lots of guitars listed and very low beginning bids. Just ran across the website and doing a quick scan-saw no ending times for bids.
Curious enough to want more information but hesitant enough to ask forum members for guidance.
Thanks for any information you might have.

It came up as a "fraudulent site" on my search. Actually, I suspected that when I heard the name.

binboner.com looks to me to be a sort of yardsale-buyer resale site. As if someone went around to every yard sale they could find and bought anything that looked even remotely valuable in an effort to flip it for cash. They're hawking artificial flowers, figurines, home decor, ornaments, brass instrumnet,s guitars, pianos, and percussion.

Edit: Lots of scam reports online.

$55 for a D-18? seems legit; I wonder if they’ll take $40....

Dennis, I have been successful offering 15 to 20 percent off the asking price.
I am thinking $47 is a good deal on that D-18

I am just crushed-- they are not honest? And I thought modern technology was the way to go.
Adds to my theory of best way to asked for a date was/is face to face. A "yes" might mean you are the last opportunity to go out and a "no" might be they have a prior commitment and sure hope you ask again.
Face to face, you can tell.

When we were in port in the Philippines, my buddy came back to the ship with a Martin D-18 "Made in Nazareth PA," he paid like $40.00 for it. Yeah, right, I told him. Before we got back to the states it was completely warped and unplayable.

That is exactly how much my real D-18 cost and then tack on an extra $1740. As real as a Chibson.

The name itself really inspires confidence too

I was thinking about that. If we assume "bin" is Buy It Now", and "boner" is a mistake, they are telling you it's a mistake to buy from them!

Buyer beware, indeed...

OK now I get the etymology of the name, but think it was intended to imply the BIN is a mistake..which is even more humorous if one considers the namer didn't get the double entendre nature of it themselves.
Kind of like "There's nothing like it!" making one think "Yeah let's hope not!".

On the contrary, my immediate reaction was that the site for people who had a "very strong interest" in buying it now. My second reaction was that I needed to watch the thread in case someone else though the same way and expressed their thinking in a non-family friendly way :)
