Congratulations to former coworker at Guild Westerly, Otto D'Ambrosio, for Guitar Player magazine's review and praise (Editor's Pick) for his Eastman Romeo design.
All those years ago we would leaf through every latest Guitar Player and now he is part of those pages. How cool is that?

Looks promising! I like the weight for sure. What is the lower bout width - is it more like an ES-335 or 339 size? Is there coil tap/cut or would the pots have to be changed? Can each pickup vol/tone be individually controlled when both are in use?

Listening to one of the videos, it almost sounds like he's describing a vintage Nightingale!

Hmmm, sounds like a guitar worth checking out. I really like Lollar's Imperials…got a set of low-winds in an Ibanez AM-205, also a reduced size 335-ish instrument. The Lollars have treble clarity combined with midrange warmth, pretty much the "fat Tele" profile of a proper PAF-type pickup but with more purr (like an HB-1) and less snarl. :)

Also, for anyone using an old-style fuzz (low input impedance) as an always-on pedal—roll down the guitar's vol for a lovely clean sound, roll it up for varying levels of dirt—having a single volume control keeps things simple.

Ok, watched the vids (second one is great) and got more specs off the Eastman site. This is definitely one I want to try real soon. Nice components and features. No independent vol controls and no coil tap but the latter is likely an easy mod. As is, it checks off most of the boxes right out of the gate. Only thing missing is a Guild logo at the top.
