Thanks guys! I will certainly do a bit of experimenting...which I love! Currently I really enjoy Retros on my 000-18, which also is mahogany b&s. Might try those first as a baseline.

I'm mostly on Elixer Nano webs but the Retro's are the other strings . But now the NYXL made the list . Lol

Between you, Ray and me there are three hog versions spoken for.

We both swapped out jumbo Guilds for ours with other members.

Of all my guitars my wife can tell when I'm playing it from another room...of course it could be the type of music I typically play on it as well.

Incredible guitar. I consider it a bargain as well.

Thanks Beecee! Do you feel like yours has opened up yet? The person I purchased it from says it has been in its case most of its life, so isn't near opened up because of lack of play.

My old avatar was of George from Seinfeld in a velour suit. That is how I used to handle the guitar, long sleeve t or sweatshirt. I don't play it all that often, so I think it has some opening up for a long time.

Funny, if this had an M on the headstock it probably would be 2x as much.

Agreed! Always have felt that Guilds were very underappreciated.
