I'm still here but when a comment like this is made "I say flay him, dunk him in vinegar, and only then let him hang on the forum...maybe."

OK. I read that and had enough context to believe it was intended as a joke. My apology for not moderating is as a personal attack. Report it if it happens again.

I also took that as a tongue-in-cheek joke.

BTW, JF-30, I didn't know the connection between John Martyn's "Solid Air" song & Nick Drake. Thanks for that info. :encouragement:

He was a deeply depressed disturbed guy.

totally. saw a good documentary on him a while back. i guess he would get boo'd at shows from time to time due to how long it took him to change to all the different tunings he used. i could see that getting real old for him...

I'm a big boy and can handle a comment like that, but like I said If I wanted to make a comment and say what I wanted to him, you as a mod would kick me off immediately.

I watched that a month ago. It's depressing. I need to listen to the Pink Moon album and learn the song.

i think M20s come in the Nick Drake pink moon tuning. from the manufacturer.
you have to retune it out of the box back to standard.
most give up cause they are like, "wait, this is not a G chord, wtf?"

I say flay him, dunk him in vinegar, and only then let him hang on the forum...maybe.

I too love looking at all guitars, especially those with lots of truthful mojo. I think there should be a subforum on this site titled “Guitar Porn”, and not limited to guild guitars.

I'm a big boy and can handle a comment like that, but like I said If I wanted to make a comment and say what I wanted to him, you as a mod would kick me off immediately.

Hello from Finland

Besides one old Gibson - one Schecter Start and a Carmelo Gonzales - all my guitars are Guild.

So what?

I like all kind guitars - no matter what brand - when younger I was lucky to work at James Berns Music with about 800 guitars in stock. Even them Bunkers . . .

Unless you stopped reading after Antneys's first line - I bolded the second, which clearly ( with my limited non-mother-tongue-english ) indicates that his first line is a FRIENDLY joke.

Welcome - and please stay - send more pics of nice guitars.

Was at a mom and pop shop yesterday. Sold my D-18 and D-28 in the last 2 weeks so I have the cash to spend. He sells Guild and of course no M-20. All non American made ones. Nothing wrong with those but not what I'm looking for.

What are you looking for? You sure you're not up for a Guild jumbo? :tiger:

Had one, a JF-30. See my avatar. It was a great guitar just not for me. I love Dreads and 00 and 000's. I guess Guilds pinched waist guitars are called M's. I stated the mom and pop shop had no M-20. That is what I am looking for. I have a Martin D-15M, and my buddy has a 000-15 and that is a sweet axe. I want to play a M-20 to see if I like it. I love the sound of all hog guits.

Reverb has used ones and the cheapest is $1000. New they are about $1400.
