I saw a 2000 blue-green M-70 for sale on Reverb a couple of days ago for around 2 grand ... and a few of the Fiesta Red (like my 1999er) ones show up occasionally ... I know that some of the LTG crowd has owned some ... but I have never seen numbers on how many were made ... any thoughts?

The "how many were made" question comes up all the time for all Guilds. The short answer is that no one knows except for probably Hans, and he generally doesn't reveal that information.

For that model, though, I'd venture a cautions, "not very many"

I agree with "not very many". As the owner of a Fiesta Red one for a brief period, it was one of only a few I saw for sale in several years. Of course, I saw a few of the same few M-70's for sale multiple times...

Any custom shop instrument had a running number in the serial number (over all custom shop instruments). So looking at the M-70ies I saw they are probably less than 50 or so. Only Hans knows exactly as I assume he has the Nashville production records.
