Pretty cool! That SF sounds so classically rich and full.

I'm a Stereolab fan from long ago. They're still playing and touring.

Can't recall that I ever heard/heard of Hutch except that he is the only player I recall being in a Starfire bass ad.

Guild used both maple and mahogany in Starfire basses, at least until 1970 so Willie is partially wrong. I think he is right about the lamination, though.

$3250 seems high for a 90's bass, IMO, even with that provenance. They also have a black finished bass of similar vintage and provenance.
