While in NC, a guy I'm working with went out last night and saw a band called "Embarrassing Fruits". He was raving about the tone from the guitarist, and described his guitar as a "Guild that looked like an SG". Naturally my ears perked up and upon further questioning, determined that we're talking vintage white S-100.

So is that anyone here?

Dunno.

If you have the patience to make the slideshow work, at least one of the shots here shows the guitar in question.

Qvart - your neck of the woods, relatively speaking, right?

Or see them here ... and they are in Qvart's territory. And I'm guessing he'll be able to tell if this is a vintage 70s S-100 or a 90s reissue.

Reissue.

And they're in Chapel Hill, which is nearly four hours from me. Never been there.

In a real-life game of Clue, Qvart makes his accusation: Embarrassing Fruit, at the Tir Na Nog Irish Pub, with a reissue S-100.

OK. I had no idea how big your "range" was.

For as long as I've been here you'd think I would do more exploring in North Carolina. But whenever I have time to get away I head for my hometown or the greater-DC area (kind of a second home and second family).

Exactly. Hear what I mean, not what I say, dammit!

Schooled by an LTG n00b? That'll cost you...one S-100! You can send it my way via FedEx, por favor.

And, welcome Mr Probos...I see we share a fond liking for Mr Thayil, yesh?

Yep, an extremely rare moment when I mixed up my "G" brands.
