More photos, as requested, of my recently acquired S-100.

Guitar and case arrived in very good condition

The sticker on the backplate confirmed the walnut finish

Very slight buckle rash on the back

Some finish wear on the back of the neck near the heel, but not bad

The worse of the body damage, a small scrape on the edge

And a crack in the upside down TRC, which as you can see, has been properly reinstalled.

Looks awesome! Glad it has the Grovers too. Much better than the Schallers.

Man, that's a real pretty one! Looks like a single-piece body, too?

Thanks fellas. I'm pretty happy with it, and even more so now from the reactions I've gotten with the photos. You always worry a bit when you feel like you overpaid a bit for a guitar you really wanted, that you might be on the short side of the quality vs. price paid balance. I plugged it in and played a little bit, to make sure everything works, and it sounds great. The feel of the neck is tremendous, better than I expected.

That's a gorgeous specimen. What I love about these old guitars is the one-piece body. Just beautiful. I replaced the original Schallers a long time ago in mine.... went with Grovers as well.

Just a beautiful guitar.

Thanks, Maxer.

I forgot the updated family photos. It's hard to shoot those ebony fretboards without getting a flash reflection.

I was wondering what you'd think of the neck. Seems like people are turned off sometimes by how thin it is. I dig the hell out of them.

I don't mind them thin, as long as they're not too thin. And this one doesn't feel too thin to me.

Much better to overpay for something you really wanted, than to overpay for something that you settled for. Trust me on that one.
