Lol well I know they've been sold out and back ordered on them 6 months as I'm still waiting for my delivery. ;)
If they were made domestically, there shouldn't be a supply chain issue. I'm not aware of any back orders on tuners, fretwire or wood glue.

Sounds an awful lot like container ship issues to me.

Mr Zager is very loose with the truth.
Here's an example,

America's #1 rated guitar pick ... really? How many people do you know that use these?
"Puffery" is easy. It was rated #1 by Mr. Zager, of course.

You can also say "America's favorite" because that's not exactly quantifiable.

If he said "Best selling guitar pick," that would be something that could be pursued by the FTC.

It seems Mr. Zager has found a loophole in the "Made in the USA" law

If he buys a $200 Indonesian or Chinese made guitar, does a little filing on the frets and nut, and then sells it for $1,300 "All or substantially all" of the value is created stateside, making it "MIUSA."

Pathetic, really.

I don't think the Federal Trade Commission is able to monitor and police too much on their own. I think they rely more on competitors filing complaints. They were very helpful to me once in this regard.

If Zager guitars is playing loose with their claims and it was brought to the FDA's attention I think they would be made to tighten up their language.

I have played one Zager-tweaked guitar, and it’s playability was good. But as his go-to standard shtick, it was an overpriced pacific-rim build. Zager has been working this semi-scam forever. Perhaps he’s cleaned up his act to some extent, but even if so, I see no reason to support his operation on any level.

I'm not 100% certain on this, but I remember reading that the guitars are made overseas (probably China) to his specs, only a slight change to when he just "Zagerized" cheap imports.
I recall seeing that they are made in Indonesia and are set up in the U.S.

I ordered a dreadnought guitar from Zager. Once I received the guitar and played it, I felt it was too large and wished I had ordered a slim-line model. Having read the reviews, I contacted Dennis about exchanging for another model. I received a response immediately. I asked if I could trade out. In less than two weeks, ( one of which Dennis Sr was I'll ), I sent the guitar back and received a slim model that plays like a dream. The easy play actually means easy play. The skill of Mr. Zager really comes to light when you hold one of his instruments. I would recommend Zager to anyone looking for prompt, fair service and a guitar that feels like it was made just for you.
