Re: Yikes...an A50 burst in my neighborhood

Hi West, well apparently the wrist is fine...enough to play my NGD A50, both picture and drool worthy...It has also had a very professionally done reset...the only indication is where the lacquer ends at the plastic binding ...Beauty, no fret wear at all, case is almost like new, like alligator, not much gold wear on the gold mini grovers, and only a couple of small dings in the top....ebony fretboard with snowflakes ebony bridge......and the TRC is on properly with gold screws...this was a 1 owner guitar...slight finish crack from the bridge to the bottom....good action, pinholes haven't been ramped....just a way cool little guitar with a sound of an acoustic with a little bit of a 'resonator' sound thrown in...blues?...Absolutely....will post some pics West....hope your neck reset turns out as nice as this one....Steffan

They're cool little guitars Steff. I was able to baby sit an A25 for Coastie for a few months while I did some work on it for him and waited on parts. Then Russ bought an A50 in Arlington a few years ago and I was able to fondle her just a bit. The really are a very unique little guitar....I like 'em.

Congratulations Steff,

West

I had an A25 for a while....remember the story about keeping the GAD30 and selling the A25? Yep, that's what I did, and then I sold the GAD30 and bought a D25 and sold that and bought a D......
you see where this is going don't you? 8)

I like some of the cool little subtle things on those little gems........like the abalone inlaid GUILD on the headstock......very nice touch.

I could get into that burst, but I don't care for the ones that come across looking reddish or orangey (one of my granddaughter's words).
I've actually been involved in a few auctions for bursts that had a nice brownish-gold look to them, like my first guitar: a '69 Gibson J45. It was a looker!

Just sayin'

The jury's still out Joe....I sure wasn't looking, and still  ...hasn't been played much, not even any of the fine scratches on the pickguard...great fit in the lap, and you'd like the fingerpicking friendly neck..I love the AB finish too...Steffan
