X700 vs X700 Benedetto vs Artist Award

What are the forumites' opinions on regular X700s vs Benedetto X700s? The Bennys cost twice as much. For me the high price would be hard to pay because my job comes with lousy bennies. Do you think the Benny is worth the detto?

Also, an X700 Benedetto costs more than an Artist Award. Can you get the Benny to sound as good acoustically? The high price would send me to the AA.

Would I be correct in assuming that a regular X700 and Benedetto X700 are more like an X500 than an Artist Award?
