It seems like the X-160 Rockabilly has one volume and one tone knob, and the X-160 Savoy has two of each. Is this correct? Or is it tyipcal Guild and there's no set rule?

The X160 and X160 Rockabilly are really two very different guitars. The X160 is like a stripped down X170 while the X160 Rockabilly is like a tricked out X150.

One of the things I loved about my former PRS Hollowbody Spruce was only one volume and one tone knob, but two pickups, just like the Rockabilly. That's my favorite configuration, just not very common.

If you just have 1 tone and 1 volume you sure loose a lot of different colors that are found by twisting the knobs with both PU’s on. But, I’ve been a Les Paul guy for a long time...

I agree.
And I will be the first to admit that for the most part I usually set the tone and forget it.
Even worse, I don't use the neck pickup much at all.
But when I want to make an adjustment...

The biggest thing for me?
My tone knobs for the bridge and neck are almost never in the same position.
I like the convenience of setting tone and volume for each pickup and then simply switching back and forth.

Who here has experience with the X-160 Rockabilly?
I came THIS CLOSE to buying one brand new.
Haven't even seen one since.
