how deep are these beauties?

why is is that they often seem to run a little lower in price than other guilds?

2 1/2 inches deep and fully hollow with a small soundpost under the bridge. Not sure about pricing on them other than that they are the less fancy version of the X-170.

I believe these are the somewhat less luxury versions of the X 170 ( no golden hardware, no binding f holes) and they are quite different from the X 160 rockabilly.

Do they have a soundpost like the x 170 ?

Yes, different model but same name. Crazy Guild nomenclature strikes again. The X-160 Savoy came first and was discontinued in 1994. A few years later when the Rockabilly model was introduced, Guild re-used the X-160 model number for it.
