I believe there was a thread on this subject already, but here goes again. Does the x150 now on Reverb look a little strange when you look at what seems to be an elongated horn on the cutaway side? Bad photo, change in shape by Corona, . . . ?

Yes, the cutaway has been extended; normally it would only go to about the 18th fret. This one goes down to the 20th. Whether it was a factory custom, or a mod after the fact, I can’t say. In the one closeup, there are some marks that could indicate a post-factory modification.

Thanks. After realizing that the tuning buttons/knobs are certainly unusual, I've just now noticed that this guitar is advertised as a Corona Custom Shop creation. I guess that explains the oddities.

I see neither a serial number nor any sign of a "Custom Shop" instrument on it. Also the given year of 2005 seems strange as in 2005 Guild had moved on to Tacoma already. Maybe a leftover Guild that a Fender employee made for himself? Without more information (label or anything) this is an odd guitar. Hans might know more.

Yes, I noticed there were no photos of any label, serial number or other identifiers.

I dunno...just a few steps away from the Musicvox Spaceranger with that cutaway...

...And the headstock is like an exaggerated hommage to the 80's Pilot bass "cake-knife." There's all sorts of crazy going on here.
