I was talking with an old friend the other day and he told me that he wanted a "Bluesbird but with f-holes". I said, "A Nightingale?" and he said, nope - an old one - an M75.

I told him he was nuts but he insisted there was one in "the Guild book". So I dug in and looked and holy cow on page 150 is the M65-DP:

So now I must have one.

I believe, but not fervently, that most, if not all, were short scale. I base this on seeing only long scale one pup M-65s that were modified to have two pickups.

I'm working on converting an M65 single pup to double pup right now. Although the M65's with the foil pup usually came in 1959, I have a 1958 numbered M65 in fair shape with a foil pup--and with the scrip headstock logo. To complete the conversion, I got a second Guild foil pup, plus a 1960 M75 harness with 4 pots and a switch, plus 2 extra of the rare knobs that came on this. See Hans page 61 for a pic of the pup and knobs. On Tuesday 10/26, I'm taking them in to be installed.

You're working on an M65DP?
